New novel and new approach.

So it has been eons since I updated this, which really isn’t good. Many reasons why which are not that interesting, even to me. Moving on from that though, on to bigger and better thinBloodyAriags. And New Years resolutions, first of which is to keep up with the blog properly.

Also in more fun news, I have a novel coming out in February! Bloody Aria is a follow up but not a direct sequel to my previous book, Mechanical Magic. Its my steampunk air pirate novel. Follow the adventures of the infamous pirate crew of the Bloody Aria as they sail the skies. I spent a lot of time working on finishing this, it fought me for awhile and then  other stories kept wanting to jumpy the queue. Finishing was definitely worth it though! Actual novel so real books to hold and for people to enjoy. I also just got the cover art for it and I’m so excited! Because it is another gorgeous cover that I absolutely adore. Anne Cain is magic, I swear.

I don’t have a definite date for release just yet, but I absolutely can’t wait for it to come. Keep a look out for it!

Release Day!

So Mechanical Magic is out today! I really should have done this post earlier in the day but… well there’s no real good excuse for it. Its a mixture of laziness on my part and just trying to focus and getting some new writing done. Getting back on track with everything and getting my daily writing quota reestablished. I have to have a daily quota that I’m supposed to meet or I won’t get anywhere with writing.

Moving on though! Mechanical Magic is now available and can be purchased here. The first, and hopefully, not the last thing I have published.  I thought I was going to be more anxious about this than I have been, but its been a surprisingly easy time of it so far. Of course I haven’t gotten any reviews yet, which might be the part that was worrying. I’m sure my rejection issues will flare their head when those actually roll in. For now though I think I’ll just bask in the feeling of finally being published.

I’ve been working on a couple of different stories, but I think I finally got the muse to settle down and let me focus on just one. Let the other’s percolate in the back of my brain. Hopefully all the better for the added time to grow.
